This is a draft of a report I created for the Lexington Square Condominium Association, which has a $1.8 million-dollar budget. During their budget process, one of the Directors asked about electricity costs, but unfortunately the staff didn’t have a good handle on historical expenditures, patterns, or even what kind of billing and tariff was applicable. Turns out electricity was the single largest expenditure in the operating budget. I think I found a few interesting and helpful details as I dug into the issue.
